Patanjali advises us to go forth on the Yogic path with the two wings of freedom, abhyasa and vairagya, effort and release, We will explore back bends as a means to create traction and release in a clear and systematic approach that is compression free.

We will begin in a restorative posture along with a short exploration of Patanjali's teachings on effort and release. Some time will be devoted to functional anatomy. Focus on the ntegration of the breath to create release, as well as some partner work.
Class time devoted to lecture: 5-10 minutes
